We love things named after delicious sweets. We feel a certain … solidarity with them, if you catch our drift.

But that’s not the only reason we love Cake Jewelry.

The necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets of former fashion photographer Meike Williams would’ve caught our eye no matter what they were called. Made from fourteen- and eighteen-karat gold, leather, sterling, and high-quality precious and semiprecious stones, they have a chunky, organic feel that’s more modern than hippie, and they feature dramatic and surprising elements: a rectangular slab of multicolored jade; a mod-looking disk of quartz encircled with red leather; and earrings made from polished buffalo horn and wispy-thin circles of silver.

It’s like having something sweet and irresistible without the sugar crash.
