Bluebird Bakery Opens

What do you do when you’ve been a World Cup snowboarder, a successful jingle singer, and a heroine of the New York and L.A. nightlife scenes?

You bake, of course.

Audrey Bernstein, known best as the party promoter (formerly of Audrey & Apple) responsible for many a late night on the town, has left it all behind — at least for now — to open the Bluebird Bakery. She cranks out cakes, cookies, pies, and cobblers for any and all to buy. Operating right out of her home in Silver Lake, Audrey bakes custom-order goods from only the freshest ingredients, authentic buttercream frostings, and quality Valrhona chocolate. Everything from wedding cake to strawberry-rhubarb pie, banana bread to peanut-butter balls, chocolate-chip cookies to chocolate cupcakes can be ordered for your next party, open house, or pig-out session. She even does light catering for teas and small gatherings.

Talk about a major life change. But shades of her past are evident: Bluebird customers already include Tatiana von Furstenberg, Spider Club, and Vogue.

Which means Audrey is still making sure that her patrons keep only the very best company.
