You’ve already led your fair share of revolutions this year.
Saving the whales in March, freeing Tibet from April through May, ending poverty in June.
Let someone else do the work this month; take a break for a restorative meal at Ché, the newly opened restaurant and lounge named for legendary Cuban revolutionist Ernesto “Ché” Guevara.
Dig into such Nuevo Latino dishes as pulled pork gouda baguette sandwich, guava-glazed barbecue ribs, sweet potato fries, and the banana tres leches cake for dessert. One bite, and you’ll be transported back to simpler times. (You know, before the onslaught of commercialism and all that.)
The red decor has plenty of communism-meets-capitalism flair: a dizzying number of plasma televisions, a dance floor, and a brightly colored tropical patio equipped with waterfalls and an outdoor grill. It’s unclear how Ché would’ve felt about all the hoopla, but you should find it a nice respite from the frontlines of unrest and upheaval.
Unless, that is, you organize a rebellion against the $10 cover charge.
A good cause if ever there was one.
