Central Coast Wine & Food Celebration
What: Vintages from 50 Cali wineries, victuals from AOC, Boa, Sona, and the like. Plus, author Rex Pickett talks Sideways.
Why: No sour grapes here.

BUY 
First Sunday Bazaar
What: New stuff, old trinkets, and lots in between at the opening of L.A.’s newest outdoor flea market.
Why: How bazaar.
When: First Sun. of every month, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Book of Liz
What: Extended dates for David and Amy Sedaris’s previously sold-out play.
Why: They were dressed in corduroy and denim.
When: Thurs.-Sat., 8 p.m.; Sun., 2 & 7 p.m.

HEAR
Tribute to American Film Music
What: Classic Hollywood anthems conducted by big-timers at the Henry Mancini Institute’s free summer music fest.
Why: Gotta love the Land of the Free.

Skate-Off or Just Skate
What: Hit the national quad-skate regional competition or brush up on your skills.
