Get Mo’ Satisfaction

Yummy Cupcakes Opens

So you’ll have the chopped salad, but. No bacon, no cheese, no onions. And add turkey, avocado, and chickpeas. Instead of whatever dressing it comes with, you’ll have balsamic. On the side. (Doy.)

Picky? Let’s just say that when it comes to eating, it’s your way or the highway. (Remember the cheap-taco-on-Freeway-90 incident?)

New Burbank bakery Yummy Cupcakes has the ultimate treat for finicky snackers: a custom cupcake bar. Start with a chocolate or vanilla base, add a little (or a lot of) frosting, then top that baby off with sprinkles, crushed cookies, gummies, whipped cream, or fruit zests.

But don’t be surprised if you’re tempted by one that’s ready and waiting. Before they opened the store, Yummy Cupcakes was known for delicious deliveries of flavors like mocha, peanut butter chocolate chip, coconut, and Key lime. Not to mention the experimental Cocktail Cupcake collection, which includes the margarita (lemon, lime, and tequila flavored cake with lemon and lime buttercream frosting, topped with a light sprinkle of salt) and the cosmopolitan (vanilla, cranberry, and vodka flavored cake with lime buttercream).

Finally, a place where you can get your cupcake exactly the way you want it.

And, of course, eat it, too.

Yummy Cupcakes, 2918 West Magnolia, between Hollywood Way and Buena Vista, Burbank (818-558-1080 or yummycupcakes.com).
