Inspiration for these intricate creations struck co-owner Michelle Wedderburn in Ecuador, where she stumbled across a group of ladies doing amazing work with leather. Adora’s shawls — which are offered in earth tones like solid chocolate and burnt orange — are crafted from leather scraps that have been re-cut and sewn into diamond-shaped patterns using acrylic thread.

And because Alison Gordon, the other co-owner, sells directly out of her Dallas home, she’s available to help you pick out the perfect one. So you can take your rightful place at the head of the fashion pack.

And stick that pashmina in the back of your closet.
