Not all lies are bad.

Totally acceptable: feigning Alice in Wonderland Syndrome to get out of work. Totally pushing it: thinking your way-too-baggy jeans fit perfectly.

Time to come clean at the Blues Jean Bar. The new Snider Plaza shop, which opens tomorrow, carries twenty lines for men and women — like Joe’s, Paige, Hudson, and 575 Denim.

Start by telling a Blues bartender exactly what you’re looking for (ideal color, size, and fit). Then head to the dressing room where jeans magically appear until you find the perfect pair.

Be warned: The jean-savvy staff doesn’t pull any punches. Which means they’ll call you out for ignoring your body type (you’re not a banana, you’re a pear) or asking for denim that’s too big, short, or tight.

Just take the news in stride. And remember that a little help never hurt anyone.

Too bad we can’t say the same for the truth.
