That’s okay. No need to have tilled the earth to appreciate Agraria, D.C.’s new farmer-owned restaurant. The brainchild of the North Dakota Farmers Union, it aims to focus attention on family farmers across the country by bringing their products right to the city.

The menu of American dishes (heavy on meat) includes a domestic farmstead cheese platter, the chef’s charcuterie tasting plate, and a rhubarb trio with panacotta, sorbet, and a warm crisp. 

Add to your meal with a selection from the extensive wine list. The welcoming atmosphere, whether at a cozy booth inside or out on the patio, will make you want to stick around for goodness knows how long.

Maybe even until the cows come home.
