That’s the Spirit

Verve Lounge Opens

At the end of a long workday, there’s often little to keep you from falling into bed.

But our bet is you just haven’t had the proper incentive to perk up. So get your behind to Verve lounge, opening Friday night, and watch your energy level rise. Level one is all about quick rushes — small plates, communal tables, and a stage for live merengue and salsa acts.

Under the culinary direction of chef Darryl Evans (Villa Christina, Spice), the second-level kitchen serves everything from California pizzas to signature sushi rolls and inventive mixes of everything in between (like crusted rack of lamb and sweet onion brulee with blue cheese polenta).

The entire space is steeped in mahogany Moroccan decor, with wall masks flown in from the Ivory Coast, and a mosaic color scheme influenced by South Beach and Buddha Bar, with cut glass in blue, green, and white.

And if nothing else, the rooftop patio and third floor loft with panoramic views of lower Peachtree promise to leave you breathless.

Which never hurt anyone’s verve, so to speak.

Verve Lounge, 511 Peachtree Street, Midtown (404-888-8880 or verveatlanta.com).
