A lampshade for a hat? A high heel for a champagne flute? A clock for a necklace?
Alas, things used for purposes other than their intended ones aren’t always winners.
Not so with Jeanet handbags. The collection of purses is fashioned mainly from vintage upholstery that is so lovely and luxurious, you would never guess its origin.
We’re not talking Granny’s sofa, mind you; the fabrics are of the highest quality and come in a variety of patterns — blue floral, orange and red fruit, kaleidoscope, and swirly gold velvet — and shapes, including clutch, tote, bucket, and hobo.
The concept came about when the designer wanted to make an unexpected statement with her daily uniform of jeans and a T-shirt but needed to keep things comfy and user-friendly. Sort of like the armchair of handbags.
Though we don’t recommend using them as such.
