Eve: Mmm, that looks tasty. I’ll have a bite.
Adam: Bad idea, Eve.
Eve: Shut it, Adam. I’m through listening to you.
Bite. Chew. (Cue angels.) Enlightenment.
So it went with Eve and the apple — just as it will when you try one of chef Susan Regis’s dishes at Pava, Newton’s newest dining darling.
Attached to fashion boutique Tess & Carlos, the dining room is stark white with accents of (you guessed it) bright apple green. The ingredient also shows up on the menu, sliced and served with oysters and in splashes of color, from the geometric chairs and bar stools to the basil-infused extra virgin olive oil for dipping.
Give into temptation with one of the decadent, wood-fired pizzas, which come in green (sorrel, spinach, and stracciatella), white (percorino sardo, aglio e olio) or red (smoked tomato and pepperoni). Or belly up to a perfectly sized pasta dish, like the gnocchi with buttered radish and bread crumbs or pasta pyramids filled with fresh ricotta.
And feel free to share them with your own Adam.
Provided he’s man enough.
