Lately, you make Barnum & Bailey look like a third-rate sideshow — juggling multiple balls at work, walking a tightrope with the love of your life, and bending over backward for friends and family.
Before sending in the clowns, try an AcroYoga class, a combination of partner yoga, acrobatics, and Thai massage. You don’t have to be a pretzel to participate (although classes are recommended for yogis with a basic headstand practice), though shy types might want to bring a date — otherwise, be prepared to downward dog with a stranger.
Beginner-level sessions start with a circle ceremony (breath work and group meditation) followed by mirror asanas to warm the body. After partner flow and stretching, you’ll go upside down, work on basic acrobatic moves like the double plank, then cap it off with a highly therapeutic game of airplane.
All of which should leave you ready to face the rest of life’s challenges.
With or without a net.
