Mom can be so dumb sometimes.
Her solution to every problem? “Just put on a little lipstick.” World hunger, dead-end job, pimple — all treatable with a swipe of Viva Glam.
Well, she may be on to something.
Aventura-based cosmetics company Joey New York has a new line of lip products containing essential oils and natural plant extracts that purportedly send messages to your brain, including “Don’t smoke,” “Don’t eat,” and “Come hither.” (That last one hopefully directed at someone else’s brain.)
LipNix uses lemon, geranium, and heliochrysum — a combo that supposedly curbs nicotine cravings; LipFit combines peppermint, spearmint, and grapefruit to stop munchies; and CinnaMen’s cinnamon and vanilla draw male attention. Do they work? It’s worth a try — especially with such tasty flavors to choose from.
Just remember: When you become a skinny nonsmoker with Jake Gyllenhaal on your arm, all it took was a little lipstick.
Mom can be so smart sometimes.
