We Didn’t Start the Fire

TheWoodman

Heard that you were asking how much wood could a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

But those critters can be damn unreliable. (Almost as bad as groundhogs.) So, if you’re looking for some logs to throw on the fire, check out TheWoodman, a new high-end firewood delivery service started by two dudes who quit their corporate jobs.

The Brooklyn-based company transports pristine, evenly cut, totally dry oak, maple, cherry, or birch to fireplaces all over the city (plus the Hamptons).

Place an online order for fatwood kindling, charcoal, wood chips, and sawdust. If you’re into grilling and smoking, you can order cooking woods like cherry, oak, hickory, and olive (and get free fire-starting advice, too). Wood comes by the face cord (a four-by-eight row of logs), the half, or the quarter.

These guys’re already delivering to hotels, restaurants, and residences. And they’ll do their best to add you to their route in time for the holidays.

Chop, chop.

Available online at thewoodman.com.
