If you’re after a relaxing beauty treatment but haven’t the time (or the cash) for the all-day spa experience, head to Fernskincare. Though this beauty salon-cum-clinic isn’t new, it’s definitely worth knowing about; the therapists there have a notably hypnotising hold over their clients. Arrive in a hurry, and you’ll leave in a daze.

After an ultraviolet skin scanner has read every blemish/wrinkle/dry patch on your face, calming facials are carried out using SkinCeuticals and Dermalogica products while you lie in a heated bed, under a fresh duvet and blanket. Massages and waxing are also available.

Should you require a moment of reflection/intense yawning afterward, you can lounge upon a comfy sofa with a cup of tea, without having to pay through the all-day spa nose for it.

All in all, a comfortingly positive experience.
