the insider's guide to your city
DailyCandy is a handpicked selection of all that's fun, fashionable, food related, and culturally stimulating in the city you’re fixated on (and all over the Web).
As your rabidly caffeinated brain can attest, finding a coffee shop is as easy as walking to the corner.
But a true Italian cafe with a charming, well-designed space and top-notch food and drink? No simple feat.
Unless you’re one of the first to discover the new Caffe Falai in SoHo. A cross between its Clinton Street siblings Falai (innovative resto) and Falai Panetteria (corner spot), it’s got an airy white-on-white-tile style, a menu of sweets (chocolates, old-style Italian specialties) and savories (panini, soups, salads), and a full range of all things caffeinated (you had to ask?).
They’re open from 7 a.m. till 8 p.m. and will be BYOB until they start serving dinner this spring. So go plant your butt with nary a thought of leaving.
And ride your buzz as the world goes by.
Caffe Falai, 265 Lafayette Street, between Prince and Spring Streets (212-274-8615).
