MiniLuxe Opens

The mini is having a moment.

Cars, skirts, iPods. The smaller they get, the more we want. Except, of course, when it comes to pampering treatments. In that case, more and bigger have always been better.

Not so at newly opened MiniLuxe, a nail and beauty salon in Newton Centre that will make you rethink that theory. There, “mini” is reflective of price and distraction, rather than service and results. (This bright little space is big on both.)

Everyone at the salon cares about health, safety, and your time. Most services are about 30 minutes, and this spot is open Sundays. Sink into a comfy chair, and they’ll ease your nail-ment: calluses, skin renewal, preggie peddies, teen treatments, or the basic luxe edition. They also offer waxing services and mini facials.

The self-proclaimed product junkies in charge have also stocked up on some of our favorite things, like LaLicious body butters, Kiss Me mascara, M. Flynn accessories, and Jonathan Adler candles.

How very big of them.
