Art Leasing at SAM Gallery

A wise man in a top hat once said, “You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.”

Clearly he was talking about the splatter paint you’ve been trying to pass off as fine art.

Take a cue from Honest Abe and stop faking it; get leased and rent-to-own art from the Seattle Art Museum Gallery.

Choose from hundreds of paintings, sculptures, and photographs by contemporary Pacific Northwest artists (like Michael Schultheis, Claire Cowie, and Junko Yamamoto). Rental rates for a minimum of three months are 9.5 percent of the purchase price; interest-free lease-to-own options start at just $50 per month.

You have to join the museum to get in on the deal. But it’s a small price to pay for classier decor.

You might even call it presidential.

SAM Gallery, 1220 Third Avenue, at University Street (206-343-1101 or seattleartmuseum.org).
