H2Ohhh

Mizu Spa

You like to test the waters before surrendering your lower digits to a new pedicurist (tickle and fungus and germs, oh, no) or getting buck naked for a masseuse (cold hands belong in a freezer).

Lucky for you, that’s what we’re here for.

Go ahead and take the plunge at the new Mizu Spa in Mission Bay.

The minimalist space is a calm haven (“mizu” means “water” in Japanese). An aisle of river stones runs down the middle of the room, flanked by white pedi chairs. Pale blue curtains mimic ripples in a stream.

Take a mini vacay on your lunch hour with a relaxing hot stone mani/pedi. Diamancel products buff callused dogs into soft submission. Indulge your skin with a caviar facial that uses luxe products like Swedish line Kerstin Florian.

The vibe isn’t overly girly, so gents will feel welcome, too.

A watershed moment for the sexes.

Mizu Spa, 274 King Street, between 3rd and 4th Streets (415-278-9988 or mizuspasf.com).
