Too much of a good thing?

It can actually be bad in some cases. Like an all-you-can-eat pancake buffet or, say, too many spas on Newbury Street. Come on. Do we really need another?

Well, in the case of Melt, yes. The recently opened spa and salon trades the same ole trendy look for a homey, cozy feel — more like your stylish friend’s living room than a club’s VIP lounge. The treatments, however, are as modern as they come.

From high-tech facials to indulgent massages, wraps, nail services, and hair styling, the spa serves up a heavy dose of corporeal therapy to exhausted urbanites in need of a break. Satin-clad massage tables and gourmet treats are an added bonus.

The only downside? There are so many stellar options, we can’t find the time to fit them all in.

And that ain’t half bad.
