Denim Swap

Question: If knowing that you look a little like the Marlboro Man in your $200 jeans doesn’t make you get them off the closet floor, what will?

Answer: the denim swap at Clever. Tonight, 7-9 p.m., trade your old blues for some that are new to you.

Hand over your clean designer jeans to owner Radka Opalka and she’ll give you a ticket for each pair that’s accepted into the pool. Then rummage through other people’s castoffs until you find something good. And if you don’t, save your ticket for the next swap (happening late summer/early fall).

Your sacrificial pants should be high end and in good condition. As a general rule, if you’re not into those old Bongos because they have a split seam, baggy knees, and torn hems — or just because they are old Bongos — nobody else is, either.
