Kemble Park Tavern Opens

While snogging your bloke over sticky toffee pud, it occurred to you.

You think you’re British.

You’ll fit right in at Kemble Park Tavern, a restaurant modeled after a snug English countryside abode, opening tomorrow.

Cozy armchairs, a book-lined dining room, and elevated communal tables make for a convivial atmo in which to feast on heirloom tomato and Vidalia onion salad or steak tartare topped with quail egg. Then try chargrilled lamb chops finished in a peach chutney or pan-roasted shrimp with Anson Mills grits and sausage. Finish ’er up with bread pudding.

For drinks, order their signature Negroni cocktail, made with gin, Campari, sweet vermouth, and  a cherry twist; or the classic martini, garnished with anchovy- or garlic-stuffed olives.

Worth every quid.
