Inviting people over for dinner? Your forte. Figuring out what to do next? Not so much.
So take them to newly opened Bolete. It’s dining in a home away from home.
Literally: The restaurant is housed in a 200-year-old inn where chef Lee Chizmar and general manager Erin Shea live upstairs.
The small 45-seat dining room has a wood floor, a fireplace, and a delicious menu. Choose from potato-crusted crab cake with artichokes, king oyster mushrooms, and a lemon-pepper aioli for starters, then dive into the house-smoked pork chop with a crisp potato cake, heirloom apples, and an apple rosemary puree. Or sit at the original bar that dates from the late 1800s and enjoy a turkey sandwich to die for: roasted turkey on a knot roll with oyster stuffing, cranberry sauce, and sage aioli.
The homemade butterscotch pudding is the perfect way to end any meal.
Not having to clean up your kitchen is a close second.
