The season of giving? Please. More like the season of battling aggro holiday sales clerks and flipping the bird at last-minute shoppers who drive like NYC cabbies.

Get your heart and head back in the right place by volunteering at Genesis Women’s Shelter, a nonprofit that provides refuge and other services to battered women and their children.

You can become a child’s Weeknight Pal, a hotline assistant, or simply help out at the next big event. Their team works hard to raise awareness about domestic violence — no small task, so they always need volunteers.

So pitch in and give more than an empty gesture.

Unlike the one you just gave that guy in the Hummer.
