You could get your kicks on Route 66.
But pulling a Hunter S. Thompson to hunt down the flyest sneaks seems excessive. Even for you.
Which leaves you at Triple, Ballard’s loftish new art gallery, record store, and hard-to-find-sneaker haven, opening tomorrow.
Perched atop King’s Hardware, the highly conceptual space comes from DJ Justin Case and the boys from Market Street Shoes. Collaborations with BLVD gallery’s Damion Hayes, Light in the Attic Records, and various artists mean merch isn’t so much displayed as curated.
Drop in for the opening party with the Saturday Knights. Or go later this week for the kicks (indies Feit and Jhung Yuro, retro Reebok Pumps), pop art exhibits, live DJs, and rare soul and R&B vinyl. (Pop-up retail backroom coming soon.)
It’s easy to find: Just start at Green Lake.
Then go westward, ho.
Opening party, Saturday, 6 p.m., 5227 Ballard Avenue Northwest (206-789-8212 or tripleseattle.com).
