As a kid, you hated bugs and your mom refused to let you wear lipstick.
Thus, no science fairs or beauty pageants. And no blue ribbon collection.
But now you can have 1 Bleu (we’re so punny). The restaurant opens today in The Regent Bal Harbour.
Only the second Le Cordon Bleu collaboration in North America, 1 Bleu captures the art de vivre philosophy of the famous Parisian cooking school, as well as its world-class service and style.
Executive Chef Gerdy Rodriguez (Norman’s, Mundo, Cafe Sambal at the Mandarin Oriental) presents a Mediterranean-inspired menu, including heirloom tomatoes with Gorgonzola and walnuts, seafood flown in from Spain (Costa Brava monkfish with fava bean ragout and mint jus), and rabbit served three ways.
The lush dining room is framed by floor-to-ceiling ocean-view windows, raised oversize banquettes, and dark wood and marble walls.
Sounds like a winner.
