Show them bird brains are equally as fun (and poop a lot less) with Bird Handbags. The brainchild of ex-model Liz Carey, the line is named after the British slang term for “girl,” which she picked up during her stint in London.

And the carryalls are truly wonderful. Crafted from a wide range of fabrics, each is unique (and most can be customized). Over-the-shoulder numbers for every day come in a bevy of colors both bright (yellow, purple, red) and neutral (slate, cognac, pearl), as well as a variety of skins like ostrich, snake, and lamb. But the most special are those made from vintage Guatemalan wedding shirts (go, rich hippies, go).

Due to the American craftsmanship and attention to personal preferences, each bag takes up to six weeks to get after ordering.

Which sure beats nine months.
