Long, long ago, the gods and goddesses of fashion gathered at Mount Olympus Fashion Week and determined that there would be fashion for work and fashion for play, but never the twain shall meet.

Never, that is, until a young Canadian renegade by the name of Eve Gravel set out to break the sacred rules.

With rocker-chic outfits that look as good as the Black Cat at afternoon tea, Gravel’s pieces defy convention. Her youthful eye balances color and design. An otherwise tame khaki minidress teases with racy black straps that crisscross the neckline, while the demure white skirt of a suit set reverses into a less angelic black with white accents.

The pieces are flattering and unusual, each making a statement without having to broadcast it.

Then again, you could go shout it from the mount.
