Take a Peak

Give and Take T-Shirts

Odds are good that the PBR-swigging hipster in the John Deere hat doesn’t really drive a tractor.

Too bad he couldn’t find a retro logo that actually suited him.

With Give and Take’s T-shirts you can wear an emblem that actually means something. Founder Shea Mullen, a graphic designer, licenses images from charity fundraisers and prints them onto ultra-soft cotton tees. Mullen selected six charities as a tribute to friends who are afflicted with related obstacles. She donates a portion of the proceeds from each shirt to the respective cause.

In peppy colors like grape-purple and bubblegum pink, the shirts feature logos from actual events in the ’70s and ’80s. Love golf? Rock a grass-colored Tee It Up for Epilepsy shirt.

You’ll be helping someone out just by wearing it.

Which is more than we can say for Farmer Ted.

Available at National Jean Company, 7301 Woodmont Avenue, Downtown Bethesda (301-907-0295 or nationaljeancompany.com). To see styles, go to giveandtaketees.com.
