Press Club Opens

Contrary to popular belief, getting caught by the press while boozing can be a good thing.

Case in point: appearing at Press Club. (Now open. Finally.)

Beneath the Four Seasons Hotel, just off Union Square, sits the walnut-paneled wine lounge that doubles as a collective tasting room, exclusively pouring some of California’s finest: Miner, Hanna, Fritz, Saintsbury, Landmark, Mount Eden, Pahlmeyer, and Chateau Montelena.

Fill your flight of fancy at the spacious concrete bar while noshing on an artisan cheese plate or cozy up to the couches flanked with teak tables for some beef tenderloin to round out your glass.

The joint’s undoubtedly housing one of the city’s best private rooms, with a table that seats eighteen and a plasma for your DVD- and TV-viewing pleasure.
