Once upon a meal, an inebriated quarrel broke out between a beautiful princess and her ogre brother.

Seems the boozehound (princess) had tippled the last of the Tanqueray and turned her sights on her bro’s stash of barbaresco.

Little did they know that far away in Germany’s Black Forest was a small factory specializing in wooden woodland creatures that could charm even this coarse crowd into sitting down to dinner.

Designimdorf’s quaint table decorations are folksy cutouts in local woods like walnut and beech. Tea lights illuminate the silhouettes of rabbits, horses, and chickens on the schattenspiel design. Pretty place cards mark your setting with four-legged animals.
