Cloak and dagger, make some room for steak and swagger.
Eventide Restaurant has set up shop in a historic three-story building that once housed secret meetings of the Odd Fellows society (an underground fraternity).
So there’s no reason to keep the ground-floor bar under wraps. Share handcrafted cocktails made from house-made herb syrups, mixers, and bitters, and bites like fries with truffled fondue and foie gras-stuffed dates.
Upstairs, behold the giant main dining room walled with grooved terra-cotta blocks and long windows with retro blue velvet booths. There, feast on pork loin with sausage and preserved summer peaches or grilled barramundi over herbed quinoa.
Perhaps a dessert of cornmeal cake with huckleberry compote is best enjoyed on the roof deck sneaking views of the city skyline.
Good tidings, indeed.
