If you’re talking about other people’s plaids, that is (wah wah). Or more specifically, those used to create new NolaBella Mad Plaid necklaces.

Inspired by runway ready-to-wear, Nob Hill veteran jewelry designer Jill Scharmen just added three bold pieces to her already stellar Rock Star collection of edgy accoutrements.

Once she sources the fabrics from local stores, Scharmen hand-knots pieces together before suspending them from chunky chains. The black watch plaid with gunmetal chain, gray glen plaid, or beige and black houndstooth on a brass chain punctuate any outfit, from a tank and jeans to your favorite frock.

She’s currently working on adding new spring pieces, but they won’t stray too far from the aesthetic.

Seeing as they’re knotty by nature.
