We don’t usually recommend giving your digits to strange men.
It’s just that manicure expert Terrance Terry isn’t the wham, bam, thank you, ma’am, type.
He plies clients with wine. And chocolates. A cocoa-scented milk bath, edible Iwi Fresh hand scrub, and a Ghirardelli stash are among the tricks up his signature treatment sleeve.
Sure, he’s styled shoots for Keyshia Cole and Keri Hilson. But he’s damn good at making natural nubbies shine like polished glass. (We peeked. We asked. Gel bonder and a three-top coat technique kept us jazz handing ’til we realized that our nails had dried to his exacting “wet look” standards.)
And for the record, he’s skilled at the minx method, too.
We’ve got your number. And you should have his.
Terrance Terry (404-808-9931 or terranceterry@gmail.com). By appointment at Purple Door Salon and Spa, 321 Edgewood Avenue, Downtown.

I guess you have to be a star to get a mani or pedi from T Terry. I took my sis there because of the hoopla around this particular nail tech and salon owner Dwight Eubanks. Needless to say, we were not impressed. We waited for Terrence after a stylist called him and let him know that we were there. We were told that he would be there in 10 mins, after 20 mins went by, we decided to leave. WTF! I ain't Kerry Hilson, but I deserve respect. If you are thinking of going, don't.
