For some, fifteen can be a fortuitous number (as in minutes); for others, not so much (hello, freshman).
Consider yourself lucky with the opening of The Tavern at Lark Creek in downtown Larkspur. The formerly pricey Lark Creek Inn has morphed into a neighborhood pub dishing grub under fifteen bucks.
Still oozing exterior charm, the historic Victorian got an interior makeover with leather window booths, colonial chairs, a popcorn machine in the bar, and tables dotted with cobalt blue glasses made from old wine bottles.
Swill signature cocktails like the Tavern Cobbler, carafes of wine, and local brews before getting stuffed on mac ’n’ cheese croquettes with cheddar fondue, shrimp and grits, corned beef sammies, and pasta paella. Or just swing by to gobble up the Boston chocolate cream pie with almond streusel.
All in all, it’s a perfect ten.
