The Italian Job

Conversational Italian Classes at Behind Closed Doors

If the SAT, ACT, and GRE prove anything, it’s that you equate studying to torture.

But hitting the books is as easy as ABC with conversational Italian classes at Behind Closed Doors.

The informal group meets every Wednesday night for conversation and wine under the instruction of two native speakers (one guy, one gal) in the lovely interior design shop. You’ll learn verb conjugation, coordinate clauses, and feminine and masculine forms organically, since they take examples from the group setting rather than textbooks (“Mary’s shorts are too short”).

Call ahead to sign up, and take a notebook and a bottle of vino (if you’d like). Also, clear your schedule: The class sometimes goes to dinner afterward to keep the good times rolling.

Where, we’re assuming, you can work on your score.

Available at Behind Closed Doors, 752 South Fourth Street (215-238-9055 or behindcloseddoorsinteriors.com). Wednesdays, 5-6 p.m.
