Sew and Tell

Wreck n' Sew Swimwear

It’s not the size of the wave, but the motion of the ocean that counts. But no matter how wild the ride, you’d prefer not to lose your top.

Catch a break with retro-inspired suits by Wreck n’ Sew. Local designer Danielle Henschel launched the line after years of surfing in swimwear that wouldn’t stay put.

In limited runs of vintage polyester, the suits are made to order and ship in five to seven days. Test the waters in a black one-piece with a full-coverage front that gives way to an ultra-low back accented with a bow. Channel Gidget in a high-waisted two-piece with extra-wide straps and zippered shorts with vintage buttons. When you’re ready to make a splash, slip into the yellow houndstooth bikini edged in white rickrack.

Got a booty for days and tiny tatas? Mix and match tops and bottoms for the right fit.

Not everyone has big kahunas.
