Perfect Form

Form Home Shop Opens

form dallas!

Though ’90s fashions (leather biker jackets, denim cutoffs) are back, there’s nothing awesome about Blossom-era furniture.

But a ’50s tweed sofa or womb chair? Whoa!

Roll the credits for Form, a new midcentury modern home shop on North Henderson that sells furniture, lamps, and accessories. Yes, you’ll find the icons — Bertoia, Knoll, Eames — in the casually merchandised space, but there’s also a large mix of unknowns.

The real score is how everything is restored to mint condition and priced fairly (the average sofa costs $1,200 to $1,500). The hipster owners shop far and wide, as well as in our own backyard, which is where they found an industrial workshop table from the Dallas ISD.

They even make some pieces themselves, like an old theater seat-turned-sconce.

Really. It’s the sit.

Form, 1900a North Henderson Avenue (214-515-9448).
