Gypsy Honeymoon Reopens

Stevie’s gypsy had sun, lace, and paper flowers. Which was curious, indeed.

But nothing beats the curiosities at Gypsy Honeymoon.

Gabrielle Ekedal just reopened her enchanting antique shop in twice-the-size digs on Valencia Street. Which means more room for the mostly European housewares, vintage clothing, and jewelry clustered on every surface.

Her collection is downright exquisite: a dramatic New England secretaire from the 1870s, a Victorian necklace with a banded gold chain and coral droplet, a 1920s coiled sterling snake bracelet, vintage Christofle silverware.

Affordable gifty finds like local Sweet Revolution caramels and 1900s photographs round out the mix — and make the shop better than any chain store.

By a landslide.
