Enter the sidewalk hatch to a basement shop channeling London (or Paris!) in the ’60s. Clothing for men and women is styled near jazz records, apothecary potions, horn-rimmed glasses, and a vintage bathtub. Co-designers Osore Oyagha and Eloise Simonet manufacture their wardrobe in NYC in limited runs.

I am a native of the Lower East Side, born and bred. I love my neighborhood and do not appreciate it being reduced away, because people want to make cute names for the area. LES goes from Houston Street to the FDR Drive and from Allen & Pike Streets to the FDR. It sounds petty to others, but imagine someone coming to your town and changing its name, then telling everyone to call it that. You would be pissed too! This place is not in Chinatown East. It is in the Lower East Side! Please do not insult the people that live here and are proud of it. Thank you.
