Finding booties that stay on your little prince’s feet while giving him enough support to transition from crawler to waddler is a supreme pain in the ass.
So we figure any shoe that’s good enough for Holland’s royal family is good enough for us. (Yes, we are easily impressed by titles.)
Born in the Netherlands, Boumy is the latest baby shoe to make its stateside debut. The all-leather slippers are handcrafted with an elastic ankle band so they can be easily pulled on and off (by you, not them). Slightly textured bottoms also allow tiny toes to develop a natural gripping technique and ensure that your tot doesn’t go slip-sliding around.
After testing them on our own mini sovereigns, we deemed the booties (love the moccasins for fall) equally useful as slippers for the newly bipedal and house shoes for the more experienced toddler.
Crown not included.
Available online at boumy.com, $32.
