Kindly step aside, Dame Judi Dench, there’s a new It Brit on the scene.
Grab your mates and say a collective “ello” to The Pikey, the new pub/bar from the chaps behind The Roger Room and Bar Lubitsch (Jared Meisler, Sean MacPherson). Situated in the former home of Ye Coach & Horses, the cracking boozer has three rooms for jolly-good gallivanting.
Get sorted in the cafe with comfort nosh like Welsh rarebit and vinegar chicken with thrice-cooked chips from chef Ralph Johnson (The Spotted Pig). In the dimly lit bar, a rotating selection of craft beers and specialty cocktails, like Divine Brown (aged whiskey, Dr Pepper) and The Sloane Ranger (vodka, strawberries, champagne), flows like the Thames.
Once you’re good and plastered, head back to the plush Maharaja Room (painted images of Indian royalty, brass crown chandeliers) to chill in a snog-friendly vinyl booth.
They’re ideal for a little carrying on.
