Dog Days at the Market at Riverview Landing
What: Stock up at the new farmers market while Fido explores Georgia’s largest, fenced-in dog pasture (five acres) along the Chattahoochee River.
Why: Bluegrass and Americana bands, paddleboarding (watch a demo before jumping in), dog tricks, food trucks, SweetWater brews, and 40-plus crafty vendors.
When: Sat., noon-5 p.m. Farmers market, thru June 20; Sat., 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Where: 6271 Riverview Rd., Mableton. Admission is free; donations to Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption are encouraged.
4th & Swift’s New Bar Menu
What: Belly up for more casual fare like Parmesan and truffle popcorn, pork empanadas, chopped chicken liver toasts, and wood-grilled ratatouille with basil dressing.
Why: Imbibe the seasonal Captain Badass (Scarlet Ibis rum; Lemon Hart 151; quinquina, Cynar, and absinthe bitters) for obvious reasons.
