Dad saw you through your rebellious phase, athletic years, boozing days, and childhood hot dog obsession. Now return the favor.
Meat and Greet
He’ll take a beer with that. Hit up HD1 for the Red Haute Dog (brisket chili, pimiento Jack, and sweet onion) with any Avery Brewery craft beer ($8). Or chow down on Flip’s rib-eye burger (topped with slow-cooked prime rib, steak sauce, spicy arugula, and horseradish foam; pictured) and wash it down with a draft brew ($14).
Back Nine
He loves to tee up, but get him to lie down for a golfer massage ($165 for 50 minutes), which uses warm golf balls and stretching techniques to work out swing-related stiffness, followed by a refreshing Arnold Palmer and a gift set of Four Seasons golf balls. Now he’s ready to book eighteen holes ($49, cart included, through June 30) at Heritage Golf Links.
Riding Dirty
Treat your badass dad to a day at Moto Mountain ATV Park, where he can rent a four-wheeler (or bring his own off-roader) to ride more than 75 miles of scenic trails. A barbecue pit, volleyball court, and sweet sky cabins kick the trip into high(er) gear.
Join the Club
Expect a danke schoen after gifting a one-year Stein Club membership to Der Biergarten ($60), which includes a large numbered stein for use at the restaurant, $8 draft beers, VIP invites to events, quarterly beer seminars/tastings, and a one-time 20 percent discount at the fancy Stammtisch table.
Grape Expectations
Your old man is aging like a fine Bordeaux. The Barrel Man’s custom furniture and accessories are made from authentic oak wine barrels and stained to your preference. He’ll savor the clock or bottle holder ($200 each), but the end tables ($350 for one) will really make him blush.
You are your father’s daughter after all.
