What do you get when you cross marketing tactics (thank you, villainous sugar cereals) with omega-3 DHA, organic whole-wheat flour, and vegetables?
One smart cookie.
Bitsy’s Brainfood, a new snack line from moms Maggie Jones Patton and Alexandra Buckley Voris, is the better answer to snack food cravings. Using their experience in the nonprofit world, where they created programming to fight childhood obesity, they’ve launched a delicious, healthy attack on empty calories.
Each on-the-go container (think animal crackers) is packed with bite-size nutritious snacks in the shape of letters. Tiny-taster-approved flavors include orange chocolate beet, sweet potato oatmeal raisin, zucchini gingerbread carrot, and lemon broccoli — and include the actual fruits, veggies, and ingredients mentioned. But nutrients and vitamins aren’t the only bonus: In each box, there’s an alphabet sticker surprise.
They’ve also launched an interactive website with characters and activities to keep healthy eating on the brain.
Like we said, smart cookies.
