Be a Good Kid and Party at Mother

A taste of NYC nightlife on Edgewood

What has four dads, likes tacos, and looks 100 years old?

Your mom.

No offense. Mother, the barchild of Mark Basehore and James McConnell of Atlanta’s Beep Beep Gallery and Matt Relkin and Jason Radich of Brooklyn’s The Woods, infuses Williamsburg cool into Edgewood’s nightlife district via the generations-old, three-story brownstone with exposed brick, antique chandeliers, a wrought-iron gate, and a primo patio. DJs will spin on the regular and karaoke starts soon.

Eats (brisket tacos, pimiento cheese, a juicy lamb burger) and drinks (the best dark ’n’ stormy in town) make you wanna slap yo mama, but the pickleback shots (whiskey chased by pickle juice imported from the Big Apple) are a rite of passage for any regular calling this house a home.

They’re no joke.
