Whip Up a Batch of Bloody Marys

Cook Hall’s recipe is a cure-all

Don’t spend the first day of 2014 in the fetal position.

Here’s what you do: Around this time tomorrow, get out of bed, take off last year’s makeup, and whip up a batch of badass Bloodys, courtesy of Cook Hall. If you can’t muster the mixing energy, hit the restaurant’s New Year’s Day Rehab brunch and let them heal you.

Signature Bloody Mary Mix
Makes eight drinks

32 oz. plus 6 oz. tomato juice
5 oz. Worcestershire sauce
1 oz. fresh lemon juice
1 oz. Tabasco sauce
1 tbsp. cracked black pepper
1 tsp. celery salt
¼ c. fresh horseradish, grated
1 oz. fresh lime juice
12 oz. vodka (preferably Tito’s)

1. Combine all ingredients (except 6 oz. of tomato juice, lime, and vodka) in a blender for 30 seconds.
2. After blending, add the tomato juice and lime.
3. Shake or mix well.
4. Mix 5 oz. of the mix with 1.5 oz. of vodka to make each Bloody Mary.

What hangover?

Rehab brunch is tomorrow, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., at Cook Hall, 3377 Peachtree Road Northeast, Buckhead (404-523-3600 or cookhallatlanta.com).
