Swede Relief

Swedx

It’s inevitable.

Shiny, spanking new gadgets enter the home, alleviating stress and making life easier. Slowly, imperceptibly, we hand our lives over to them. And then, one day, BAM! The world is dominated by power-hungry machines.

Or the things just stop working and you shove them in a closet.

Fortunately, Swedx is on a mission to bring kinder, gentler technology to your home. They’ve kicked plastic casing to the curb and work only with fine, handsome wood (ash, beech, and mahogany-like sapele) to craft simple, eye-pleasing flat-screen TVs, computer monitors, speakers, keyboards, and an ergonomic mouse. And though these things give off a back-to-the-land vibe, what lies inside the pretty timber is strictly state of the art.

They may not alleviate your nightmares about a dystopian tomorrow ruled by human-eating droid dictators, but you can be fairly certain that they won’t end up breaking down and collecting dust.

Which, for most of us, is the scariest future of all.
