Getting fresh: an experience that’s good (“My, you’ve got one sexy laugh”), bad (“Did aliens make your jeans? ’Cause your ass is out of this world!”), or ugly (the slap in the face that’s sure to follow).
Or it can be tasty. Case in point: Fresh to Order, the quick-serve gourmet cafe that just opened in Midtown’s Spire building.
A stop there means original recipes (hand-mixed salads topped with apricot-miso calamari, seared tofu, and almond/rosemary-crusted tuna steak) and spanking new notions. Instead of a whole or half order, opt for a three-quarters plate of fire-grilled salmon with black bean orange sauce and wheat berry rice. It also means entertainment — in the form of flat-screens inside or the outdoor patio.
The place has big plans, too: A sister location will open in Sandy Springs this August. In the meantime, the current store will soon offer delivery via a fleet of green mopeds that will zip over a week’s worth of meals. And, even better, every dish is priced at less than $10.
So this fresh just might look good on you.
And we hope that’s not being too forward.
