One Mississippi, Two Mississippi …

The Case: 7 Mississippi, a sample sale shop that snuck into the teeny space behind the Majestic Diner last week.

Suspects: Jenn Ripley (mastermind behind the Luxe Atlanta sample sales) and gang (who we hear have connections to the infamous Psycho Sisters crew).

Clues: Suspicious activities taking place Thursday through Sunday of each week. Stranger still? Said activities tend to happen between 11 a.m. and midnight, except on Sundays, when they occur during more normal, 11 a.m. till 8 p.m., hours. (They claim to be catering to the late-night, Rocky Horror-watching, diner-dwelling, margarita-slurping souls who frequent the area. An ingenious cover.)

Evidence: Unworn runway and showroom samples from Easel, Notify, Habitual, Marciano, Nicole Miller, and Nautica swimwear, among others. Shoes by Betsey Johnson, Kenzie, and French Connection were also confiscated. All items excluding denim were priced at less than $50 (that’s obscenely lower than wholesale, for you gumshoes out there).

The Hideout: 702 Cleburne Terrace, Poncey-Highlands (404-892-1111).

Conclusion: Show’s over folks. We’ve found ’em. Now you can, too.
